We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lo Lo Eat’s. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lo Lo Eat’s below.
Lo Lo Eat’s, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose when I understood that I am not defined by my mistakes I’ve made in the past. My purpose is to live authentically me! My purpose is not defined with materialism, career, or by others. My purpose in life is to be myself and help others along the way. I live in my purpose everyday as social worker, family member, and friend.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a food blogger on Instagram @eatslolo! I’ve been food blogging on Instagram since 2019. I love reviewing restaurants and food products. I would say I’m a part-time foodie. I have a podcast on Instagram @lolochats and I get joy out of sharing my experiences and having guests on there. I’m a social worker and love helping my clients! Overall I get joy out of all the things I do!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The most impactful thing on my journey was when I started therapy in 2021 I put my mental health first. Therapy has impacted me in such a positive way. I understood that having anxiety doesn’t define who I am a person. Therapy has made me a better person overall!
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most thing my parents have done for me is my parents teaching me the importance of education! I have my bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in women’s health studies and a master’s in social work. My mother told me education is something no one or nothing can take away from you and always lived by that!
