We recently connected with Logan Spacek and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Logan with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I definitely developed my work ethic after values of hard work, resilience, and perseverance were instilled in me at a young age by my parents. My dad owns his own business and has always shown me what it looks like to serve customers well. Additionally, I was a gymnast and a cross country/track runner growing up. Both of these sports require a lot of time and dedication, as well as grit. I am thankful that I was blessed to be able to participate in both of these sports and thankful for my coaches, who always saw potential in me.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Wonderful, I grew up in a small town called Giddings and ended up landing in DFW after going to school at Texas Tech for my Bachelors. I went to PT school at TWU in Dallas and have enjoyed raising my family in the DFW area ever since. My husband’s name is Keith and we have two children, named Tess (7) and Ty (5). I am blessed and honored to be able to do what I do, while also balancing being a mother and wife. I am thankful to be able to serve the community here in Waxahachie and I’ve grown to love this sweet town and the people here.
As far as my business, Reclaim PT + Wellness is a holistic physical therapy practice dedicated to serving women and their families through PT & wellness coaching. We provide support for women in all seasons – through their journeys of past, present, and future. We are honored to serve women with empathetic care and are dedicated to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness for mothers. We specialize in pelvic floor PT and we also provide orthopedic and pediatric PT services. We are honored to hold space for challenges versus normalizing symptoms to empower our patients to meet their goals.
Our values include: Empathy, Transparency, Devotion to His Calling & Purpose, Compassion, Holistic Care, Trauma-Informed Care, Nervous System Centered Care, Boldness, and Intentionality.
My husband and I own a holistic wellness center called Reclaim Wellness Collective serving women and families in Waxahachie, Texas. Myself and my colleague, Dr. Brittany serve patients needing physical therapy or wellness services in this space. Additionally, we have an amazing chiropractor in our space so we can serve our clients holistically and collaboratively. Everything about my job makes me so excited and truly grateful. The space is so special, but what is even more special are the providers and patients. We are so honored to serve the patients in the community that support our business so well.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
One of the most important qualities that I possess that has allowed me to be successful on my journey has absolutely been determination. Determination has been something that has been instilled in my at young age, and I am grateful, because it has allowed to persevere through tough times and many times that have tested my patience and my plans during my career and while starting my business.
Since I pivoted from doing pediatric and adult home health care, an area of knowledge that was most impactful was learning more about pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy. This allowed me to work with both the nervous system and address the pelvic/orthopedic needs of the client to be able to make the most impact. Integrating both types of knowledge has been huge in how I address my patients’ needs!
Additionally, learning more about holistic care has allowed me to serve my patients so well. I am passionate about Pelvic Health Awareness, Women’s Health, Mental & Emotional Health, Fitness, Informed consent and decision making, Physiological birth, Clean Living, & Holistic Healing and I integrate all of these areas into my practice!
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes! I am looking to collaborate with podcasters and anyone that has an affiliation with hospitals in order to get the word out about my book/program and how it can help women prepare for postpartum and restore themselves post-birth. Additionally, I am always open to collaborating with any providers serving clients for women’s health & during pregnancy/postpartum.
