Meet Lovepreet Romana

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lovepreet Romana a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lovepreet, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I believed that those who are unable to visit and experience the natural wonders should still have some method of experiencing the amazing places. So I started taking pictures of stunning scenery so that my visitors might enjoy those locations.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I specialize in travel and landscape photography. I go on solo trips in quest of picturesque locations to photograph. It is my passion, and I didn’t start it in any way to make money. I find peace in exploring unusual locations and taking pictures of them.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities: 1 Passion to learn – Landscape photography isn’t easy. You have to learn a lot of things. It take a lot of time to learn. If one doesn’t have passion he wont be able to keep learning for along time.
2 Patience – To get one great shot, one might have to wait for a very long period. Sometimes you need to wait for the ideal lighting, and other times you need to hike for hours to find the ideal shot. Thus, it is crucial to exercise patience.
3 Practice – “Practice makes the man perfect,” as the saying goes. If you don’t put what you learn into practice, you won’t succeed.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I would really enjoy working with a filmmaker that loves creating short films. In the past few months, I’ve put a lot of emphasis on cinematography, and I’m eager to shoot my first short film. They can get in touch with me on Instagram.
