Meet Lucine Xin

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lucine Xin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lucine, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I work on it every day, taking small steps like exercising regularly to maintain a sense of perseverance. I also make time to explore books and learn new things related to my work, which boosts my confidence. It’s important for me to feel fulfilled mentally, so I prioritize activities that nourish my spirit. Keeping my emotions stable helps too, and I try to approach things with an open mind, accepting and embracing all aspects of myself, flaws and all.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a tattoo artist, and for me, tattooing is a unique form of art. What excites me the most is that I can directly express my creativity on human skin, which feels truly magical. When designing tattoos, I not only consider the characteristics of the human skin and muscles but also think about how to compose the design to ensure it looks beautiful on the body.

Today, with the continuous development of drawing tools and technology, I have more creative possibilities. I can design not only on paper but also use AI and 3D modeling to create more vivid tattoo designs. This not only enriches my work but also allows customers to have a more intuitive understanding of the tattoo effects on different parts of their bodies.

I hope everyone understands that my work is not just about artistic expression but also about paying attention to individual features and aesthetics. Each tattoo is a unique experience, and I am committed to creating unique artworks for each customer to showcase their style and personality. Furthermore, I am constantly exploring new creative methods and technologies to provide customers with even more exciting and diverse tattoo experiences.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I believe the three most influential qualities in my career journey are honesty, passion, and perseverance.

For those who are just starting their career journey, my advice would be:

Honesty: Be honest with yourself and others in all aspects of your work. This includes acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses, being transparent in your communication, and maintaining integrity in your actions.

Passion: Find what truly excites and motivates you in your field of work. Passion fuels dedication and drives you to go above and beyond in your endeavors. Embrace your passions and let them guide you towards meaningful achievements.

Perseverance: Success rarely comes overnight. It’s essential to stay committed to your goals and persist through challenges and setbacks. Keep pushing forward, learn from failures, and never lose sight of your aspirations.

In terms of skills, it’s crucial to hone your observation skills, pay attention to detail, and cultivate the ability to analyze situations from various perspectives. Take the time to carefully consider your decisions and actions, and continually strive to improve your capabilities.

Additionally, exploring classical art forms such as painting, architecture, and various artistic styles can provide valuable insights and inspiration. Delve into the rich history of art to discover different painting techniques, composition principles, and color theories that can inform your own artistic expression.

As you embark on your career journey, take the time to fully understand the professional environment, identify potential career paths, and position yourself accordingly. Embrace a mindset of continuous learning, be open to seeking guidance from others, and remain dedicated to your growth and development.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past 12 months, my most significant growth has been in finding my preferred design style direction. Additionally, I’ve expanded my knowledge of photography and video editing to better showcase my work from multiple perspectives. I’ve also delved into various painting techniques, particularly exploring unconventional approaches, which has made my work stand out in a special way.
