Meet Lynel Seawood

We recently connected with Lynel Seawood and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lynel, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I just simply wanted to take better photos than what my cell phone at the time could capture of my daughters baseball games. So I went out and purchased my first good expensive to me camera.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a photographer that aims to capture timeless and creative photos. I have shot many different genres of photography and found some that I like and don’t like, but overall just love photography. We try to give our clients the best photography experience possible.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Determined Goal driven
Love of the hobby.

If you feel that you love this hobby, don’t think about making money at first, think about developing skills for awhile. Don’t give up when times get hard and continue to practice, fail and practice again

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
The challenge I’m currently facing is trying to go full time in photography. I’m not at the level where I can shoot and live just off photography income alone.
