Magda , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from my determination to make the most out of life, seeing opportunities in every problem and tackling them head-on. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, and I’ve faced numerous setbacks. But what keeps me going is the belief that tough times will pass, and good things are ahead. It’s just part of who I am not to give in to sadness and tears. Instead, I choose to smile and focus on finding solutions. This positive attitude is ingrained in me, pushing me forward no matter what challenges I encounter.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Magda Sommer. Im Board Certified Functional Medicine and Nutrition Coach .Throughout my life, I’ve been deeply passionate about the outdoors and sports. I was relentless and unstoppable in pursuing my passions until life threw a devastating curveball at me. I lost my best friend to cancer, a profound loss that shook me to my core. Despite the pain, I continued to ignore my own health issues, pushing myself beyond my limits.

It wasn’t until my body started to rebel against me that I realized I couldn’t keep ignoring my well-being. It was a wake-up call, a stark reminder that my body couldn’t support the vibrant life I dreamed of living. Desperate for answers, I sought help from Western medicine, but it failed to provide me with the solutions I needed.

Taking matters into my own hands, I embarked on a personal journey to reclaim my health. Along the way, I noticed a common thread – many women suffer in silence, unsure of how to address their health issues, often dismissing them as normal when they are anything but.

This realization ignited a fire within me. I dedicated myself to helping women uncover the root causes of their health problems and shift their perspective on healthy living. I believe that living a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t be seen as a burden; it’s about embracing life with joy and vitality.

Witnessing the transformation in women’s health fills me with immense fulfillment. It’s not just a job for me; it’s a calling. I’m on a mission to spark a health revolution, empowering women to live the lives they deserve – vibrant, joyful, and full of vitality.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Reflecting on my journey, three qualities stand out as particularly impactful: resilience, advocacy for oneself, and intuition.

Firstly, resilience played a crucial role. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, I refused to give up on my pursuit of better health and a fulfilling life. This resilience enabled me to keep pushing forward, even when the path seemed daunting.

Intuition: Trust your instincts and listen to your inner voice. Sometimes, it knows what’s best for you even when logic may suggest otherwise.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Among the many individuals who have played a pivotal role in my journey, two stand out as the most impactful: Jenny and Maya Comerota.

Jenny’s presence in my life was like a guiding light during some of my darkest moments. She saw potential in me when I couldn’t see it in myself and reached out to offer her support precisely when I needed it most. Her belief in me gave me the courage to keep moving forward, even when the path seemed uncertain.

It was through Jenny that I had the privilege of meeting Maya Comerota, my mentor. Maya’s wisdom and guidance have been instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today. Every word she spoke resonated deeply with me, and I hung onto her every piece of advice. Slowly but surely, I began to apply her teachings to my own life, leading to profound personal growth and development.

I am profoundly grateful for the influence of these beautiful souls and the tight-knit community that surrounded me during my journey. Without their unwavering support and guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today, both personally and professionally. Their impact on my life is immeasurable, and I will forever cherish the lessons they’ve imparted and the inspiration they’ve provided.
