Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Maggie Strope. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Maggie , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
So like most people, it was driven by a factor that had me acknowledge that nothing would change unless I myself took the initiative to make the changes! POV: It was November 2019. I was having the BEST time of my life with some close friends and the new hubby in Nashville. Everything was perfect! Only drawback… my energy! It was so low & believe it or not, I was at the heaviest of my life at that time frame and I felt the urge to make some lifestyle changes if I wanted to feel more confident in the future
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I create low carb eating recipes that are easy & sufficient for the everyday common folk like myself. As a first time mom, it’s important to have time set aside to cater to my dinners, but also enough time that I am soaking up moments of the newborn life. That being said – the recipes I share are perfect for those who have less than 30 minutes in an evening to scour down their food, but still want something healthy for their lifestyle.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
consistency! I sound like a broken record most days when others ask “how I stick to it” but it’s true. Anything in life takes consistency. Learning to ride a bike. Friendships. Marriages. You name it! While sustaining a low carb journey may not be the easiest at times, plan accordingly so you can succeed. For me, if I know I will be attending a dinner with friends, I review the menu first to see what I can eat that fits my lifestyle. If there isn’t anything to consider, I roll with the evening and enjoy my moment in time making memories and eating food that serves as an indulgence. I get right back to basics the next day! I’d consider these 3 assets in helping my journey the most:
Good support system – my husband is super supportive that he himself even transitioned to a more low carb based lifestyle a few years back.
Tools – for me, I supplement with a product that gives me the energy and appetite suppressant I need to dwindle down the snacking!
The thirst for knowledge – you can never stop learning in your journey of life. There is knowledge everywhere you look and the greatest thing is we have the ability to learn to grow us greater than before. The amount of information I learn all the time with my low carb lifestyle astonishes me and helps to make me even stronger down the road.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely! Those that are wanting to change their life around and become healthier, more in tune with their bodies to gain the energy they desire is exactly who I’m looking for. The ones who want to lock arms and conquer back their lives to live with more freedom.
