We were lucky to catch up with Malcolm Mattingly recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Malcolm, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
We believe we developed our confidence and self-esteem from showing and proving. There’s been times where some of us were more confident than others but since we always support each other, and show up as a team, the energy becomes contagious. Consistently practicing and being prepared will make you more confident in anything you do. We’ve had many long days of podcasting and creating content that’s given us the experience to be prepared for future opportunities and complications.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We have been Podcasting and building our brand for 5 years now. It’s been a very “learn as you go” experience.
I feel the special thing about us is our diversity in the content we produce. We deliver a very transparent experience, we’re bot afraid to be vulnerable when discussing heavier topics yet we also can be humorous when bantering more lighthearted subjects.
This year in 2024 we will be opening up to our audience more about our release schedule of content, and also upping our consistency with new segments & an official website!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Being as I learned about podcasts by being apart of one, there was a plethora of information we weren’t aware of. The most impactful thing we learned was the importance of a visual counterpart to go along with our audio episodes! Right behind visuals, merchandise and events, are extremely vital. When you can get in person and connect with the people who support you it builds a stronger relationship and trust which cultivates a community feel. Also, people want something tangible to show their support and represent the things they value, merchandise gives your audience a chance to self promote their interests!
The best advice I can give to people early in their journey is to have patience, stay consistent, and always be open to reconfiguring your creative process!
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We are definitely looking for companies to partner with. Preferably another studio to assist in producing our show and also interested in partnering with events! We’re always open to collaborate with other Podcasts and even open up our platform to other artists, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations!
