Meet Maria De Jesus Berry

We recently connected with Maria De Jesus Berry and have shared our conversation below.

Maria De Jesus, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Experimentation, meditation, visualization, and constant research are the keys to my creativity staying alive. Being fearless in the face of challenges, adversity, and fierce competition are also key components in thriving. I tend to revolve my art and content creation around subjects that I am naturally drawn to. For my art work I tend to incorporate plenty of flowers, lanterns, women, Japanese, and Native American influences in my creations. For my content creating and brand work, I revolve my photography around beauty, style, travel, and I love to feature both local and travel hotspots for others to discover. I love to stay inspired by constantly researching what the current trends are, following other talented folks, and exposing myself to new environments. AI is one of the newer trends as of late with mixed opinions on its usage. I embrace new trends with open arms, for the ability to evolve and constantly push ourselves are also imperative for growth.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
This year I turned 42 years young and I love embracing my age and my creativity in various mediums. I am a millennial, Hispanic artist, photographer, content creator, and I dabble in blogging as well. For my art work, I mainly create in Photoshop, Canva, and have recently began creating AI art. My photography is focused in restaurants, business interiors, products, travel, and I love featuring art murals from every place that I travel as I love spotlighting other artists.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Persistence, a thick skin, and determination are pivotal in any business journey. For indiviiduals whom are at the beginning of their journey I’d kindly say, “Never give up… despite numbers and any lack of support, never give up on yourself. You are always worth the hard work and success. You CAN and WILL accomplish anything you are determined to accomplish.” Your self language is very important. Authenticly believing in yourself, becoming very clear with your vision and goals, and working daily and diligently to accomplish your goals will all ensure a great pathway to success. Always understand your market and your target demographic. Many social media platforms offer business insights to better understand whom your business is attracting. They conveniently have the information sorted and is available for business accounts rather than the standard personal account. Continually invest in yourself and your business. You will never regret that decision.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My beloved husband John Berry has been a daily dose of love, guidance, inspiration, and a wealth of knowledge since we met in early 2011. John’s diverse personal and business accompliments have helped me to grow in both my personal and business life. I look forward to the adventures ahead of us.
