Hi Mariana, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Once upon a time, I was the person in school that people came to for advice. Friends, classmates, and even family sought my guidance, and I relished the role of the trusted confidant. Little did I know that my true calling was still hidden, waiting for the right time to emerge.

My journey towards finding my purpose took a detour after my second divorce. I found myself trapped in a nightmarish cycle, living with a drug-addicted and abusive husband. It was a dark and daunting period of my life, filled with fear and desperation. The pain and suffering seemed unbearable, but little did I realize that this crucible of adversity would be the forge in which my purpose was forged.

Desperate for a way out, I made the courageous decision to attend group sessions for codependents. These sessions became my lifeline, a source of hope and healing. Through countless hours of introspection and shared experiences with fellow survivors, I learned invaluable lessons about resilience, self-worth, and the power of transformation.

As I applied these newfound lessons, my life began to change. The process was neither quick nor easy, but with determination, I managed to break free from the shackles of my past. But there was another mountain to climb – the legal consequences of my ex-husband’s actions. I faced probation time, a harsh reminder of the choices I had made out of fear and desperation.

Yet, I refused to be defined by my mistakes. I used this probation period as an opportunity for personal growth, embracing the challenges it presented. I honed my time-management skills, developed discipline, and learned the art of resilience as I navigated the legal system and its demands.

Post-divorce, I made the daring decision to go back to college. As a single mother of three, it was no easy feat. I worked tirelessly to balance my responsibilities, attending classes, and providing for my children. It was during these years that I cultivated the habit of perseverance and the tenacity to pursue my dreams, no matter the odds stacked against me.

The day finally came when I proudly walked across the stage, donning a cap and gown, to accept my college diploma. It was a moment of triumph, a testament to my unwavering determination and newfound strength. But this was just the beginning.

I began my career in coaching, a path that felt like destiny manifesting itself. Drawing from my experiences, both the challenges I had overcome and the resilience I had developed, I found my purpose. My past became a well of wisdom from which I could offer guidance and support to others who were facing their own battles.

I had transformed from the person who merely offered advice to someone who could truly make a difference in people’s lives. My journey from a place of despair and fear to one of purpose and empowerment was now complete. Every obstacle I had faced, every lesson I had learned, had led me to this moment.

In helping others overcome their own struggles, I found the true meaning of my existence. It was a journey that began with a search for answers in the darkest corners of my life and ended with the illumination of my purpose as a beacon of hope and resilience for those in need.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
In the past year, I’ve embarked on an incredible journey to spread the word about my brand, MAMI on a Mission LLC. Building upon my professional expertise and drawing valuable lessons from my own life experiences, I launched a life coaching venture aimed at empowering women to achieve their seemingly impossible dreams. Through one-on-one coaching sessions, I’ve helped countless women set and attain their goals, fostering personal development and growth.

But I didn’t stop there. Just two months later, I tapped into my gift for public speaking and initiated the MAMI on a Mission Podcast. This platform allowed me to reach a broader audience, motivating, encouraging, and inspiring women not only across the nation but internationally as well.

The culmination of my efforts came with the launch of my book, “MAMI on a Mission: A Guide Towards Healing, Self-Discovery, and Walking in Confidence.” Even before its official release, the book achieved the remarkable status of a Best Seller, a testament to its impact and resonance with readers.

Looking ahead, this year promises even more exciting developments. I plan to introduce online modules featuring videos and printable handouts, expanding the reach of my message and coaching services. Additionally, I’ll continue to offer one-on-one coaching and will introduce group support to create a thriving community of empowered women.

My journey is an ongoing mission to empower and inspire, combining professional wisdom with personal growth lessons to uplift women and help them achieve their dreams.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
In my transformative journey, three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge have been profoundly impactful:

1. Perseverance: The unwavering determination to keep going, no matter how daunting the challenges, was crucial. Leaving a troubled marriage and embarking on the path of a single mother was incredibly tough, but I persisted. This perseverance not only sustained me but also became an inspiration to others on their own journeys.

2. Openness and Honesty: Being open and honest about my struggles was a game-changer. It allowed me to connect deeply with my clients, fostering an environment where they felt safe to open up and share their own challenges. This transparency has been a cornerstone of my coaching and podcasting success.

3. Empathy: Empathy played a pivotal role in understanding and empathizing with the experiences of others. It enabled me to connect on a profound level, offering support and guidance from a place of genuine understanding. Empathy is the bridge that allows me to truly make a difference in the lives of those I work with.

To anyone on their own journey of self-discovery and transformation, I would offer this advice:

– Never Compare: Avoid comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle. Each journey is unique, and progress comes at its own pace. Focus on your own growth and path.

– Ignore Naysayers: There will always be voices of doubt and negativity. Ignore them and stay true to your purpose and goals. Your inner conviction is your greatest ally.

– Don’t Quit: No matter how tough the road may seem, don’t quit. Perseverance is the key to unlocking your full potential. Keep moving forward, one step at a time, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is a determined individual who is truly ready to make an investment in themselves. They are seeking accountability and are willing to take full responsibility for their actions, avoiding the temptation to shift blame onto others. This client is someone with a burning desire to overcome life’s hurdles and actively pursue their aspirations. They understand that personal growth requires dedication and effort, and they are prepared to commit to this journey of self-improvement with unwavering determination.
