We recently connected with Mariel Siverio and have shared our conversation below.
Mariel, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
This is such an important topic! confidence and self-esteem is the basic individual force that comes and reflects in many aspects of your life.
Loving your self and believing in your own worth attracts situations, people, opportunities.
Personally, it took me years to understand this, and of course still working on this everyday. Specially I can understand that this impacts my work directly because sometimes I don’t feel my work is enough, but the trick is doing what you love, giving your own personal touch, success will come no matter what.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I freeze moments and create memories. I am a professional photographer with over 10 years of experience.
For my kind of business experience and net working are vital.
I am very passioned, don’t believe in luck I believe in hard work. Everything started long before I had kids, but with my first born I started taking more and more pictures and investing in more equipment.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
At the end of the day, it all comes to knowing yourself. Understanding that giving a service in my case photography comes with a little bit of knowing your essence what you want to transmit in your work.
Also, customer service! understanding what your client is looking for and blending it with your style. And by the other hand being OK with not being liked by everyone.
One more, keep it up with technology and upgrading your gear!
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Me! Having a “never give up” set of mind!
Every day is a challenge and you NEED to be your biggest fan and support.
