Meet Mark Esric

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mark Esric a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mark, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my mother. I grew up in a single parent household and watched my mother be everything she had to be to raise me. Never sacrificing her principles never or moral code.. she instilled those in me and it gave me a blueprint to navigate through life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Professionally I’m focused on brand awareness and bringing customers the best merchandise possible. Customer confidence is the most important to me because If customers know that the quality of what they are buying they aren’t going to mind purchasing in the future.

The most exciting part of what I do is the creative space. I challenge myself to come up with ideas that are visually appealing and relatable. In other words let the clothes speak to you in a sense.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back one of the most important areas of knowledge to me was marketing. Know your product know who you want to target and know how to deliver it.

Another important factor is to have the best people around you who share your vision. And these people may or may not be your friends. Make sure to keep an open mind.

The best advice I could give to anyone is whatever GOD put on your heart to do or create ,do it and don’t stray from it. GOD gave you the vision for a reason and everyone is not going to be able to see it.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parent did for me was teaching me to believe in myself. Anything is possible and the only one that can stop you is you. I live by those words.
