Meet Mega

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mega. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Mega, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I believe my resilience comes from within. It started with my mother and I inherited it directly from her. My mother is the bounce back queen. Growing up in New York, she faced a lot of adversity. Situations meant to destroy her, I witnessed her rise again and again.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My passion is music first and foremost. I began singing in church at a young age. I discovered my ability and realized I wanted to challenge myself to get better. I traveled the world, touring with major artist, being featured in the trendiest magazines and my music even billboard charted. Throughout my journey, I discovered I had many other talents and gifts and began to expand my creativity transitioning from not just a singer/songwriter but to a creative director, helping other artists like myself build their brands.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Always observe and study. Be quick to listen and slow to speak. The creative side is just one aspect of what makes you successful. Learning the science behind what it is that you do is what helps you to make a living. My 3 best qualities are my ambition to manifest what I want. Not being afraid to try because I think I may fail and always coming from the heart, leading with love/intention.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
Life is a challenge within itself. But on the road to rediscovering who I know I am comes with having to be humiliated. People may not understand the choice of going from being super active in the music industry to being “a normal working class woman”.
