Meet Megan Mbengue

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Megan Mbengue a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, thank you so much for making time for us today. Let’s jump right into a question so many in our community are looking for answers to – how to overcome creativity blocks, writer’s block, etc. We’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have.
As a content creator who has grown my business from scratch with short-form engaging and educational content, creativity blocks can happen! Microdosing has been my most successful tool in overcoming them. For me, microdosing quiets the brain chatter and that voice in my head that tells me I shouldn’t do this or that and replaces it with clarity, focus, and creativity. The new ideas flow like water the days after I microdose, and I have the confidence to carry them out. I’ve been able to take my business to the next level because of this.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I founded Trusted Canna Nurse in 2022 when I saw a dire need for a medical professional to help guide patients in the therapeutic use of cannabis and CBD as medicines. We’ve grown to an international team that offers microdosing programs, cannabis education, and a full line of premium hemp products. We’re currently doing research on women’s health with our CBD suppositories, and we’ve partnered with a former NFL player and Super Bowl Champion on a product targeted for those who’ve suffered previous head injuries.

While growing my business, I completed a Master’s degree in Medical Cannabis Therapeutics so that our customers and patients can trust that their information and products are coming from a credible and trustworthy source.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Authenticity: being true to yourself and your customers is the most important quality. I’ve created content around my journey of growing a business, and countless people have told me they appreciate knowing that their products and services aren’t coming from a faceless corporation. 2. Integrity: Our customers and patients trust us to give them accurate information. If something isn’t appropriate, we will tell the client, even if it costs the sale. The customer appreciates honesty and will then be more likely to refer knowing that we’re putting their best interest over making money. This inevitably leads to more referrals down the line.
3. Consistency: We consistently show up and give the most accurate information. It takes a dozen touch points these days to make a sale, so consistently showing up with authenticity and integrity is how we’ve grown our brand in the last 2 years.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
The biggest area of growth for me has been my ability to step outside my comfort zone. So many opportunities have come to me because I’ve put myself out there. Microdosing has helped me get out of my own way and grow in ways I never would have thought possible. I’ve ventured into areas of business that I thought weren’t for someone like me, things I thought would never be attainable, and here I am doing them!
