Michael Oliva, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
Nobody is better than the next person. It took me awhile but I’ve now been taking the “haters” criticism, etc. as me doing something right. Alot of people treat you poorly because of their own insecurities. Alot of people will copy your moves and that also used to make me angry but now I take it as a compliment. I’m a trendsetter and they’re just following what I do. I just stay focused on ME. I DO THIS FOR ME & MINE… NOBODY ELSE.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a business man. I write, record & perform my own music. I’m a Musician not just another rapper. I do this all independently. Most exciting thing is when people sing along to my songs while performing or getting to network with fellow musicians. My next Single Release is on 8/16/23 and is called “Monster” which will be on EVERY DSP (Digital Streaming Platform) including: Spotify , Apple Music, Snapchat, Facebook & IG Stories, TikTok, etc.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My top 3 qualities that helped me was me never giving up on my dream, networking & stepping out of my comfort zone! The advice I’d like to give to the people out there reading this is no matter what is going on in your life just stay focused and never give up…in a blink of an eye your entire world can change for the better!!!

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
Watching my mom who just lost her husband raise my brother & I. Definitely wasn’t easy for her especially with 2 boys but she’s my hero & inspiration!
