Meet Moon Taylor

We were lucky to catch up with Moon Taylor recently and have shared our conversation below.

Moon, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
To persist in life no matter what the challenge is or who the haters are, you need to believe in yourself first, keep a strong balance of your own power of faith in what you believe in. Your loyalty is to yourself before others.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the CEO of Spiritual Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Sanctuary a 501c3 nonprofit.

My rescue is focused on protecting & helping the wildlife cats of every species, specializing in metabolic bone disease and special needs wildlife.

My facility gives a permanent home to the wildlife cats that have any type of permanent disability that prevents them from being released back into the wild and in need of permanent care, I truly feel that all animals have the right to have a life to live no matter what.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The 3 qualities that help me find my path are all in gratitude to my father.

My father is a huge animal lover, he thought me the difference skills on how to trap and handle injured wildlife to help care and rehabilitate them.

My father’s knowledge that he passed on to me to keep my education continued and his support and believing in me has also helped me believe in myself.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My father: I used to be able to call him and we would talk about the different wildlife and issues that there health would have and he would give me some different advice and insight to look into, but since his passing I miss hearing his voice of wisdom.

So when I’m facing any issues and I’m in need for a peep talk or possibly guidance I sit in my quiet meditation room and while holding my fathers favorite western hat, I close my eyes and a sense of peace comes to me with a vision, at that moment I know my father is helping to look after the wildlife.

My father would never give up on me or any animal in need, he always believed in me, he is and always will be my best friend.
