Meet Myesha Banks

We recently connected with Myesha Banks and have shared our conversation below.

Myesha, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Growing up I was one of many talents. I was a person who would learn and apply. Myesha could do hair , makeup , style people, draw , design clothes etc. If I could learn it I could do it. At one point I was lost and confused and wasn’t really sure what avenue I wanted to focus on. My mom would always say “girl you don’t know what you want to do with yourself”. I would laugh sometimes cause at I was so good at everything. I soon then realized my voice was so powerful as a young adult. I started to listen to myself and realized that speaking was no effort for me. It was something that came natural and easy. Helping people with my voice and intellect was something I desired to do daily. I wanted to be a voice for people that connect to me and understand the unique sound that comes out of my voice. My purpose is my voice and when I found it I never let go.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Myesha Banks is the CEO of TTBE “Time to be Established” motivational organization. She use her voice to guide , motivate , and enhance the thought of what people want and vision for their life. When she speak she teach and make sure that when someone hears my voice they leave the room with substance and a lesson. Time to be established will be publishing they second book 2024, as well as launching their podcast 2023. During the rest of the year Myesha banks will be booked for speaking engagements all throughout NYC| ATL.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back the I think one quality that was most impactful for me is listening. When you’re on your journey it’s important to listen more than you speak. You gain knowledge and wisdom that will benefit your decision making. At this moment I do believe I’m enhancing my skill set which will help me bring an increase of clients to my platform. Someone that is in the beginning of their journey my advice is just do what comes to mind. Before you find your purpose you have to try many different things, You really have to take a risk , leap of faith , fail , etc to actually find what your purpose is. So my advice is “TRY”.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The challenges I’m facing at the moment while being a fairly new business owner is getting into rooms and building credibility. I know my work is good , I believe my voice is innovative fresh and new. But trying to convince the world or people I think matters I can say is the hardest level I’m at with my business. I do believe that comes with having patience which can be difficult for me sometimes, but the industry keys are hidden in a secret place. No matter what or how long it takes I will find the keys !
