Hi Nadia, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic is deeply rooted in my belief that we should strive to leave a positive impact on every person we encounter in life, regardless of whether they are aware of my actions. What truly matters to me is the sense of doing good and making the world a better place. In my professional life, I consistently endeavor to be fair and provide opportunities to those who demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow. This commitment to fairness and empowerment aligns with my core values, which are inspired by the teachings of Jesus—love, forgive, and give.

These values were instilled in me by my loving mother, who consistently encouraged my siblings and me to embrace love and forgiveness. Even in the workplace, these values continue to guide my actions, helping me create a positive and compassionate environment. My work ethic is a testament to my dedication to spreading love, forgiveness, and kindness in all aspects of my life, leaving a lasting and meaningful impact on those around me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I established the PersonalHour brand for Yoga and Pilates out of my profound passion for encouraging individuals to dedicate at least one hour a day, or even per week, to their personal growth. My primary focus lies in the intrinsic value of my brand’s products, prioritizing the betterment of people’s lives over profit. I do not possess a greedy disposition when it comes to revenue; I find contentment in creating a positive impact and ensuring a minimum standard of living. Consequently, my business remains in the early stages of building its brand impact, rather than solely pursuing profit.

I remain deeply involved in addressing the needs and requests of our customers, attentively listening to each voice and actively participating in the day-to-day operations. My commitment to excellence means that I personally oversee every aspect, ensuring that everything is perfected to the highest standards before it is shipped to our valued customers.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I arrived from a technology background, where I spent a considerable period working at Amazon and constructing numerous e-commerce websites. My professional journey has encompassed marketing, business development, and product management. The fusion of my expertise in business and technology, coupled with my deep-rooted passion for yoga and Pilates, and my unwavering commitment to delivering value, has led me to achieve a level of success that surpasses the typical trajectory for a business of its age.

Based on my experiences, I wholeheartedly recommend pursuing your business endeavors within your areas of passion. This approach ensures that every day becomes a new, exciting journey filled with a genuine love for what you do and a constant drive to provide value to others. In doing so, you will discover that the effort put into making things happen no longer feels like a burden, but rather a rewarding and fulfilling pursuit.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
In moments of overwhelm, my strategy involves a deliberate effort to re-prioritize my tasks. I employ a mental trick that involves temporarily disregarding the entirety of my to-do list, allowing me to concentrate on one task at a time. An invaluable piece of advice that I’ve learned through experience is the significance of delegation. It’s crucial to hire the right individuals who share the same level of passion and dedication as I do, or perhaps even more, to handle specific tasks effectively. This approach ensures that tasks are tackled with precision and enthusiasm, even when I’m grappling with an overwhelming workload.
