We recently connected with Natalie May and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from feeling good, feeling good about myself. I believe that a good part of being optimistic and have a positive energy and positive view of life comes from being healthy, physically and mentally. I also practice positive thinking and try to surround myself with positive people. It helps me feel happier. And a SMILE, the simple act of smiling can make you feel better.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
For the last 5 years I’ve been completely focused on my cleaning company The Mopping Duck. We are dedicated to providing high quality, personalized cleaning services for residential and commercial spaces in the San Diego area. At The Mopping Duck, we prioritize our customers above all else. We recognize that cleaning is a personal matter, and we go the extra mile to make our customers feel safe, confident, and worry-free about having our team in their homes and offices. We take the time to clearly understand and meet our customers’ expectations, ensuring complete satisfaction. Our ultimate goal is to consistently impress, build trust, and deliver exceptional customer service.
What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My advise will be to stay focused, work hard and don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are so many amazing groups and organizations in our city where you can find support, talk to other entrepreneurs about your business challenges and find solutions. Listening to customers is very important. They will be one of your best sources for learning, so take their feedback and improve daily. The most beautiful thing about creating your own company is that you can do it your way, and while there you will always have good and bad days where work can be tough to get through, you will love the challenges you face and take joy in overcoming them.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
Our ideal client is anyone that wants to outsource their household cleaning and free up their “free time” and any business that wants to make their workplace a clean, comfortable and healthy space for their employees.
