Meet Natalie Puglisi

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Natalie Puglisi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Natalie below.

Hi Natalie, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?
I have an innate quality to look at the end goal, with every aspect of my business. Whether it’s a small project like creating a custom contract for a client or a longer process like filing for a trademark application, I always focus on what the end result is for myself and my clients. The self-discipline comes from knowing that there is a goal at the end each project and when I split the projects up into bite size pieces, it makes completing the individual tasks more attainable.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m an online business attorney and legal resource. My favorite part about my business is support other female entrepreneurs in their journeys to grow and build their businesses. Both of my parents were immigrants and came to the US not knowing a word of English. My father opened up several businesses and they eventually bought their own home and retired in California. They have always inspired me to build my business and strive no matter what adversities come at me.

I’m about to launch my private podcast all about brand protection. It’s a 3-day podcast where I talk all about trademarks; what they do, how they can protect your brand, why you can’t afford not to have one and what the trademark application process is like.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were perseverance, compassion and the ability to know when to do something on my own and when to ask for help.

The journey to becoming an attorney is a long road and I’ve maintained my perseverance in attending law school, passing the bar exam and building up my practice. It’s been over a decade long journey.

Having compassion towards myself and especially my clients is extremely helpful during my day-to=day work. A lot of times my clients come to me when things are stressful or they are feeling the pinch of having to get their legal in order. It’s very helpful to remember what state they are in and lead with compassion.

As I’ve grown my business, one of the most important qualities is learning when to ask for help and when to research and find the skills to take on a task on my own. Asking for help and knowing when to ask for help is often times an overlooked quality. I’ve always known when to rely on others to help me grow my business.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m constantly looking to collaborate with other coaches, web designers and business owners who could use my skills and expertise to help their clients legally protect their businesses.
