We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nataly Freidel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nataly, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I believe I get part of resiliency from generations of strong women; being raised by many strong women is the first example that is set of how you have to push past everyone who wants to bring you down and tell you, you’re not capable and just prove them wrong. I have been on my own since I was 14 and I’ve had to prove everyone who doubted me wrong, even myself at times.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m diving into my creativity right now! I’m focused on my content creation and excelling as a travel creator primarily. I have been a clothing stylist for two years now and making traveling a career when my clients are primarily located in Portland, Oregon has been a challenge! But helping people feel confident and comfortable in their bodies is so rewarding! Im currently traveling to Hawaii next week to create more content and do a few photoshoots and I’m so excited to see everything I’ve been working towards come to fruition!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three skills that were most impactful for me include my organization skills, my ability to manage my money well and my ambition, it keeps me going and it keeps me on track while balancing two very different jobs! Being able to compartmentalize your wants and needs and budget your money so you can prioritize your goals has been the most important and difficult part of this journey. If you have a goal in mind, start by budgeting how much you need to save to reach that goal!
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I’m feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from traveling, it’s important to get lots of rest. More rest for you may look like drawing a bath and having a self care day or reading a good book on the couch all day and just turning your phone off! Meal prep has helped me a lot because it gives me back the time i would have spent cooking so i have more time to wind down! Meditation and journaling helps as well with organizing your thoughts so you can relax without intrusive thoughts hindering your relaxation time.
