Nautica, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic mostly from my mom. I noticed she’s a hard working independent woman and I always wanted to mirror that. I have so many goals and I have been achieving them one by one. Sometimes my work ethic can be intimidating because of how hard I push myself without asking for help and even being able to achieve my goals on my own seems to be overwhelming for some.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I love fashion! That’s my passion and I decided to pursue a career in modeling to stay connected to a world I enjoy exploring. Runway, print and editorial model is my favorite. I also make music. I’ve been in numerous music videos and I’ve even produced some of my own. I’m also a makeup artist. I got interested in doing makeup in high school and I steadily grew a passion for it. Being my collection from the ground up, I know work as an Artist at Sephora PT. I enjoy a lot of other hobbies as well such as styling, creating and even cooking. All tie back to me hosting being about to express myself freely.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
3 qualities that got me were I am today would be authentic, respectful and driven. You have to stand out in this industry and I encourage everyone to be themselves. Don’t jump into something you aren’t comfortable with doing. Have boundaries and set expectations. Have goals and try to focus on accomplishing them. Lastly trust your gut!
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Currently I am looking for brands to work with that’s one of my goals for 2024. Beauty brands and clothing brands are my main interest but I am not opposed to working with life style brands either. I want try to work with people who are just as passionate about their craft as I am. I want to build a team as well to create on these projects.
