Meet Neil Aaron

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Neil Aaron. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Neil, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose in this life was pretty easy at first. I spent my whole life knowing I was an artist and wanting to express myself. I felt from the very beginning that I have a message and I can make the world a better place. Then came my purpose as a healer. That was a curveball. I got my degree in psychology and knew my art would help people, but I never imagined I would one day become a healer, let alone a pioneer of a healing modality. But once I realized this was my path, it was clear the purpose would be to spread healing and teach people how to heal others and themselves. As a pioneer, it’s my purpose to spread this as far and wide as I can and help all who are suffering.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My career is two pronged. I am a Shiva Murti healer and a Teacher of the modality. I also bring my students to Bali to connect directly with the Master Teacher and Founder of the modality. It is an energy medicine that is super fast and strong and works on all different ailments, conditions or injuries both physical and emotional.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that were most impactful on my journey were resilience, determination and spiritual beliefs. The resilience I have needed to have is no joke. When you play with big energy and want to make a big difference in this world, you are going to get knocked down hard. One thing I can pride myself on is my ability to get back up and come out stronger every time I have been dealt a blow. It’s ok to have those moments of not knowing how you will recover, but I know I always will. Always. My determination is something that strikes me as a stand out personality trait of mine. I think big and am always willing to do whatever it takes to update grade or expand.
My spiritual beliefs have carried me 100%. I believe in having purpose and I believe in a higher power. I don’t believe in coincidence and I feel everything is connected and happens for a reason. I don’t need to understand it, it’s bigger than me. I just need to trust it and keep picking myself back up.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The biggest challenge I have with this modality is how polar opposite it is from everything Americans have been taught about healing. Daily, I am faced with teaching people what this is and showing them how it can benefit them even though I’m not a Western doctor or this is something they’ve ever heard of. People in America are used to surgery and medication as a solution to most things. But in Bali, healers use different modalities passed down through their lineage or downloaded in them to heal people all day long. It feels uphill at times but one by one, I am healing people and spreading this or teaching someone how to heal someone and spread this.
