We were lucky to catch up with Olivia Lomax recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Olivia, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic is all thanks to my incredible mom. Growing up in a single-parent household, I got to see firsthand how she poured her heart into hard work and chasing entrepreneurial dreams.
Watching her juggle 2-3 jobs and later dive into the challenging world of entrepreneurship made a lasting impression on me. My mom, a true example of resilience, would wake up early, put in long hours, keep our home spick and span, and fearlessly take on any new challenge.
She was a real Jack of All Trades, showing me that success isn’t limited to just one role or profession. Mom taught me the importance of being versatile and always being open to new opportunities. Through her actions, she instilled in me the belief that achieving your goals takes a mix of hard work, dedication, and the courage to face anything that comes your way.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey, there are three key things that really stand out for me. Firstly, consistency has been an absolute game-changer. I’ve had my fair share of challenges and setbacks, but sticking to a consistent approach, day in and day out, has been the backbone of my progress. Whether I’m facing obstacles or working towards my goals, keeping up that steady effort has given me the stability and drive to keep moving forward, no matter what. Secondly, adaptability has been crucial. In the ever-changing world of business, being able to roll with the punches and adapt to new situations has been essential for staying on top of things. Being flexible and open to change has helped me stay relevant and resilient, even when things get tough.
And lastly, continuous learning has been key. I’ve always been a big believer in the idea that there’s always something new to learn. Whether it’s through workshops, books, or just talking to people, I’m constantly looking for ways to expand my knowledge and skills. That commitment to learning and growing has been absolutely vital in helping me stay ahead of the curve.
If you’re just starting out on your own journey, my advice would be to focus on these three things. Embrace challenges as opportunities to grow, stay open-minded and flexible, because things can change in the blink of an eye, and never stop learning. Education is the best investment you can make in yourself. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and don’t be afraid to ask for help along the way, and remember that it’s all about the journey, not just the destination.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always on the lookout for awesome people to partner or collaborate with. Right now, I’m particularly interested in teaming up with stylists and fashion influencers who share my passion for empowerment and style.
