We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Pancho Rucker a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Pancho, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Being told “You’re not good enough” for your entire life either builds a rebellious attitude or an attitude of complacency. I chose to rebel..
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a serial entrepreneur and creative so that allows me to create real things from just a thought and put them out in the world to see how people accepts them. I find that the most exciting thing about what I do. I see it as creating literal magic.
From writing new books to making my delta 8 company BumbleBars, I find pleasure in the ability to do my own thing.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Creativity, stubbornness, and flexibility of thought.
To those just starting… BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! No one, be able to drive you away from your goal. Remember that there is a market for your product. You just have to tap into it. You’ve got this.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me is
Mom: Forcing me to get into the arts at a young age.
Dad: Leaving my life as a kid.
