Meet Pastor Chelle The Overseer

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Pastor Chelle The Overseer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Pastor Chelle, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I believe I developed my confidence and self-esteem through my Faith in God. My Faith helped me to understand that I am much more than I was giving myself credit for. I have always been known as the person that is “The Life of The Party”, but it was a to facade that hid what I really thought of myself, When I was younger, I saw my peers, who were seemingly, living their lives to the fullest and having no regrets while I was a Teenage Mother. I “allowed” others to place me in a Category that tried to dictate who I could be and what I could do. I seemed to “settle into that mold” and it caused me to not pursue some of the things I had dreamed of doing. I always wanted to be a Singer, but I never felt I was “good enough”. I wanted to be an Author, but I did not think I could do that. But as I grew up and my Relationship with God grew, I begin to understand that I could do anything I put my mind to and I could be whatever I wanted to, because regardless of what people thought of me or even said about me, The Word of God let me know that I am “fearfully and wonderfully made”. I have learned that the love I have for myself is the love that I deserve from others and if the love I give is not reciprocated, then that is a place I do not need to be. I love myself, I love who I was created to be, and I know that beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am and always have been, more than enough!

I am now a Published Author with three Publications under my belt, I am a Pastor, and I may not be singing on world-wide stages, but I have been blessed and honored to both sing and preach on great platforms. I am still humble and I honestly believe that that is a quality that has kept me and is keeping me as I continue to gain my momentum. Having Confidence is an amazing attribute, but if you are not humble, it will become cockiness. Self-esteem? I am my biggest pusher and greatest motivator because where I did not believe in myself, I now know that there have been and will be times when the voice you need to hear that pushes you, is your own! I encourage myself everyday, because there was a time I fed into the foolish thinking of others, but not anymore. I can, and will, do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I wear many Hats, but I am most currently an Christian Author, Writing is I have done since I was a little girl. I wanted to write Plays, Stories, Poems, and anything that required “writing”. I don’t just like to write, I love to write. My plight is to write what I have experienced, what life has shown me, what will encourage and inspire the Reader. I want to let them know that if they are experiencing something, there is an extremely great possibility that they are not the first person to go through whatever it is. When someone picks up one of my Books, I want them to put it down encouraged and filled with hope, knowing that they can make it and they will make it through,

I currently have three Books Published on Amazon, They are:
1.Pastor Chelle The Overseer: Encouraged to Inspire
2.Pastor Chelle The Overseer: Life After Mama
3. Broken & Silent

I am currently working on my largest Release thus far, with Title “Pastor Chelle The Overseer: The Demise Of Grace”

I can be followed on Facebook and Instagram, as well as Amazon @PastorChelleTheOverseer

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think the three qualities that were impactful in my journey were confidence in myself, accepting that I was and am worthy, and the ability to take the limits off of myself.

Believe in your Gifts and Talents. Each of us have innate Gifts and Talents that we could quite possibly, make a living off of or at least be so impactful that we can make a difference. Many of us have been sitting on those things for most of our lives for whatever reason, Speak life to yourself and encourage yourself even when others can’t see what you see, keep moving; it may not be for them to see the “Start”, but most definitely they can be there for the rest! If you can see it, then trust the Vision, and trust the process, and trust that God has it and you! And even you fail or fall, the first time, get yourself up, dust yourself off, and whatever you do, do not quit until you have accomplished what you set out to do. Know that you are worthy and you were predestined for great things!

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The Bible, The Word of God is the Book that has literally led me and been a guide on this journey. Proverbs tells us that “there is nothing new under the Sun” and there has not been anything that I have faced that I could not open up the Word and there not be an answer. For instance, in the order for me take the limits off, whether they had been placed on by myself or others, I had to read Psalms 139:14-16 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.(NKJV) And when I understood that, I then realized that Philippians 4:13 told me, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (NKJV) Then I remembered something that my Granddaddy always said to us. He said, “Nothing beats a failure but a “trier”! Never start a thing thinking about failing; always get in it to win it and don’t stop until that very thing is accomplished!
