Hi Paul , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I started my career in construction/sales/marketing at the age of 16. Through the years, I climbed the ladder to executive levels in management and nationally recognized sales rep positions. I earned more than a lucrative living, but the hours and time away from family and friends had me in a bad place. I was drinking a lot, making poor choices, and had no hopes for a bright future.
In 2013 on a late summer afternoon, I was sitting in Atlanta traffic on the way home from work. I was miserable and severely depressed. I thought to myself, “There has to be more to life than this!”
I began to pray about where God needed my life to serve his kingdom. I looked up in the sky over my steering wheel and ‘Graphic Design’ shined in bright lights. The sign was an unmistakable old movie style billboard with bulbs lit up all around it! When I got home, I discussed the vision with my wife, Amy. Not long after that, with help from family, I was enrolled at The Art Institutes!
In 2015, our son Anthony was born, and he’s now the youngest member of the Zanardo Dezignz, LLC team. I’m blessed to spend all that time I prayed for years ago with my people!
My prayer for you… know God has bigger plans, and it’s never too late to turn things around or make that big career change you dream about. With prayer, patience, and perseverance anything is possible!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say faith, patience, and perseverance are three qualities that helped me get to where I am today. I was raised in a religious household but didn’t know how to put God first and completely surrender to his will until later in life. Trusting fully in his plan has gotten me eternally further than the plans I had for myself and my company.
Our first client was a Christmas card design for a cat named Mr. Meow Meow that paid $30. Now speaking engagements on marketing, SEO, and digital branding for large corporations is common. Years of patience and perseverance through trial and error has earned us a growing list of lucrative nationwide clients!
I still struggle in business and in life, but the way these challenges are presented are opportunities to learn from and grow. The universe is now the limit with plans in the works to expand internationally.
How would you describe your ideal client?
Generally speaking, different industries could benefit from our design, marketing, and search engine optimization packages.
