Meet Peter Alexander

We were lucky to catch up with Peter Alexander recently and have shared our conversation below.

Peter, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence has come from putting in the work. Developing it was challenging. At first I didn’t have it. The more I’ve been in practice and the more people I talk to I have realized that the care I’ve been able to give patient’s is very high compared to what a lot of them have experienced before. In doing this I’ve been able to know for a certain that a most of these patients were in the right place. They’re in the right place regardless if they had seen another healthcare provider. They needed the extra work I was able to give it. With that extra work comes results. Seeing this time and time again has given me the confidence in myself and what I do professionally. It also helps in my personal life as well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a rehab chiropractor based in Roswell GA. I became a part of the profession after years of training and teaching different martial arts from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to boxing. Throughout those years, I suffered injuries and my students did as well. This was an obvious profession to not only learn the skills to help myself, but also my students. My goal is not only working with martial artists but anyone who is trying to stay active. I believe with the right program you can get back to doing what you love and we can improve your physical performance as well. Education and exercise are the king and queen of musculoskeletal care so I tend to focus a lot of my time on these areas. I almost don’t like calling myself a chiropractor because adjustments are just a small part of what happens in the office.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Investing in myself and taking business courses. I thought I would just slowly learn the things I didn’t know over time through trial and error and since hiring a coach I’ve exponentially grown. Having consistency is key. You don’t have to be the smartest, fastest, or best. You just have to keep showing up day in and day out. Surround yourself with people who are better than you in different aspects of life. You’ll learn and grow just being around them.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes! I currently have a room available for rent for a healthcare provider or something similar. The location is great and the office is spectacular. If you’re interested in starting your own business or want to change locations then let me know! You can connect with me on IG at hybridspineandsport, or email me at Peter.Alexander.DC@gmail.com
