Meet Petra Neiger

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Petra Neiger. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Petra, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
It’s part of my upbringing and a mindset I’ve cultivated over the decades. My parents and brother are among the few most, if not the most, resilient people I know. Watching them handle life-changing situations have both inspired and taught me to dig deep for faith, trust and hope if I need to, while I keep moving forward. My own life situations have instilled a deep-seated trust in me, and now I know that I’ll bounce back stronger. A big part of it is understanding and accepting that the universe teaches you lessons by giving and by taking away. It’s a cycle. We classify these experiences as good or bad, but they each serve a purpose and come with lessons. It helps when I remind myself of this truth, cultivate hope, trust and gratitude, and do my part to attract a positive outcome. As part of this journey, one of the biggest lessons I learned is letting go. Letting go of MY timeline and the specifics of the outcome I wanted.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Red Pantz is an educational body-to-soul wellness destination, which shares ancient ayurvedic principles in the context of modern life, presents lifestyle and diet perspectives that you can evaluate for your daily life, and highlights research that connects ancient and modern health findings. The MY24/7 premium self-care collection supports wellbeing from the outside in as well as the inside out, all connected, with certified organic, all-natural and environmentally-conscious products.

MY24/7™ was born out of the idea that life flows better when you follow the circadian rhythm. It’s a nod to the wisdom of the circadian rhythm and nature’s health benefits. You can find products for each part of your day to support a bigger goal: help live well.

I’ve even gone the extra step to get these products certified organic. While many brands claim to be organic, there are very, very few that are certified in the skincare space. Why? It’s hard enough to create products that only use certified organic ingredients. And these products not only have to contain certified-only organic ingredients, but the processes and operations with which they’re made must also be certified organic. A tall order for skincare products. Look for the USDA organic seal on the packaging to see if a product is really certified organic.

Then, there are our partners and packaging. We prioritize partners that use fair trade practices and are sustainability minded. And we too constantly look for ways to minimize our environmental impact. For example, we minimize the use of plastic, package our products in glass containers, and use post-consumer materials whenever possible. And we look to do more.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Perseverance, focus and dare to ask.

Perseverance: Building a business takes time, effort and commitment. It will come with a lot of ups and downs. Celebrate successes, however small they may be, and learn from what didn’t work and move on.

Focus: Many people will offer their opinions on your business. Stay focused on your purpose, mission, and assess if these suggestions align with your business. Simultaneously, recognize pivot points that can help move your business forward in a positive way.

Dare to ask: If you don’t ask, the answer will always be “no”. But if you ask, you have a 50% chance of getting a “yes”. Give yourself every opportunity to get a “yes”.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The Celestine Prophecy series by James Redfield. I read all of them decades ago and have reread them a few more times, especially the first one. There’s something new I discover each time. This book started an avalanche of similar readings for me from Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now and A New Earth to The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Too many to count, really, but each book has had a profound impact on me as a being, and helped me see the world and myself through a completely different lens. It also helped explain some things I was intuiting but couldn’t put my finger on. All this before the body-mind-spirit connection became a popular topic.

I remember taking a course in school where the professor introduced us to Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence a few years after it first came out. Another impactful book. It was a novel concept back then and it’s been gaining popularity in recent years in corporate America.
