PhotosByZo , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from always wanting to be the best at what I do. Also surrounding myself around successful & well rounded individuals. I’ve always had a hustlers mentality which gives me an edge on being consistent. We all have the same 24 hours in a day, it’s about how much you can get done in an efficient way.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Zo , I’m a Celebrity photographer based in Nashville, TN. I’ve been a photographer in the music industry for 5 years now. I decided to get involved in the music scene because I have a passion for music & I realized working with notable people can make my brand bigger. Some artist I’ve worked with in the industry are Future, Lil Baby, Glorilla, 21 Savage, BigxThaPlug, 2 Chainz, Latto & many more.

Photography has definitely changed my life because I’ve been blessed to do things & travel places I would’ve never thought. Picking up the camera also gave me opportunity to go on tour with artists like Jelly Roll, Key Glock & Zaytoven. Concerts are big for any photographer that’s in music, being able to go to an arena with 20-40k people in attendance is a crazy experience. It’s something I like to cherish & also being a studio session capturing moments that last forever.

I have a lot of new stuff coming & I will be starting a PhotosByZo’s team so that’s something to look out for. We’ll be able to do all services from photography to videography.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities & skills I believe that was most impactful to my journey would be my personality, reliability & dedication. Those things are very important because people think you just need talent to be successful but that’s really the last thing you need.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12 month has been branching out & expanding my services . I use to only wanna work in music because that’s all I wanted to do when I first started being a photographer. Now I’m working with professional athletes and doing corporate events. I use to feel like I was tied to one thing but taking a chance and seeing what else is out there has made my brand grow even more. Now I have more experience in different categories of photography.
