We recently connected with Professor Majïç®™ and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Professor, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I once read that “the meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of life is to give it away”- Pablo Picasso. That statement resonates down to the very fiber and fabric of my soul and being. On January 8th, 2020 I found my gift in this life through prayer, a pen, paper, microphone and music. Coincidencently that same day I didn’t just make the decision to pursue a professional music career, but I also decided to stop drinking alcohol. After 1,388 days, 117 songs, and 2 businesses later, I continue to give God all glory for my literal, lyrical magical story. Nothing about my mind body and soul have been the same since.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Michael Jackson once said that “Music comes from the heavens”, 3 albums later I find this statement to be 100% true. I recorded my first song -Dreamcatcher-on January 26th, 2020 and after publishing only 10 songs, on June 14th, 2021, I was offered a $500,000 recording contract from Stone Throw Records. I create music to leave a positive impact on people’s lives in hopes that it inspires them to pursue their dreams. Majic•Musick•Records•LLC mission statement is “dream hustle achieve impossible”®™. I’ve helped staff and marketing in 3 Full Moon Festiavls in Tempe, I am currently prospecting the biggest brands in cannabis with (Jars), in addition to the biggest wave makers in Arizona at Relentless Beats and Gem Ray Media. We look to broaden our horizons in marketing at the W in Scottsdale, The Footprint Center in Phoenix, The Phoenix Raceway, The Talking Stick Resort, and Nile Records in Mesa.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Search engine optimization and the development of systems and databases have been my biggest obstacle and reward. Learning how to create a business is easy, learning how to successfully run one will be the hardest decison you ever make in your career. Creating a business out of selling sounds is nothing short of “Majïç®™in the making”, Creating Wavez is a one man Marketing Agency with limitless potential to capture exclusive content never before seen by the masses. Presented in a way that leaves the viewer mesmerized, captivated, and inspired on multiple levels visually, acoustically, and mentally. On the other side of the coin there is the music, selling your music to the right audiences will be your biggest challenge as an artist. After having had my music played 100,000 times worldwide organically without the use of a secodary marketing agency, without running a sinlge ad campaign, without utilizing bots, and without paying to be playlisted proves that creating great music should be your first, second, and third priority as a musician. We are finally beginning to gain the notoriety, traction and momentum needed as a record label, marketing agency, and brand. The best advice I can give any day one artist is to have as much fun as you can with your passion, but never stop learning.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Being raised the youngest of 6 kids in San Bernardino, CA I was privileged to have learned from my entire family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters as well as both parents. In all honesty, I owe everything I am to my family. My intellect from my mother, my work ethic from my father, my street smarts from my brothers, and my unconditional love for music was nurtured by both my sisters. My mother and father still work to this day to maintain a loving family within their home. Had I not witnessed them both arise before the sun for decades, I wouldn’t have established the work ethic required to succeed in this industry. I have spent more days then I can count waking up at 3am and working until 10pm in order to get ahead of my competition (myself). This self discipline was learned from the example of both my mom and dad in addition to what I picked up from all my siblings. I could never thank them all enough for the lessons they all continue to teach me.
