Meet Rama Sallsao

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rama Sallsao a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Rama, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience really came from my mom. She immigrated in to the United States in the late 90s leaving six children behind and really fending for herself before she could bring me here when I was like around four my parents divorced really early so I was pretty much only Raised by her and it was really inspiring to see a her in a country she literally didn’t know the language didn’t know anyone had to maneuver and build a life for us. Make sure I had education made sure I was fed, well dressed well, mannered and well cultured. And on top of that, she still had to take care of all the family members that she left behind she spent over 25 years here before she could finally go back. I’ve never seen my mom cry. I’ve never seen her give up.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I specialize in Digital marketing and content creation and brand partnerships, but my best friends and I started our own creative production company called Twosixeight Studios where we offer a variety of different services from creative direction, photography, videography, PR, and even management. I have so many experiences from the last three years in the entertainment industry that I try not to minimize myself to just one thing there’s a multitude of things that I can do but I just like to consider myself a creative overall. I love music I love fashion I love art and I love technology if we can create something out of those we will do it. we really just wanna continue to build a community globally with different talents and produce major iconic moments that will last forever

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say consistency, charisma, and definitely resilience are the three main qualities that are definitely impactful of my journey because people got to understand. Nothing happens overnight. I’m not even where I’m at but most people think I’ve gotten into a place that’s so amazing but it’s like I want more I know there’s more that I can do and I’ve heard NO so many times, most people would’ve given up a long time ago but I’m so determined I’m so hungry for more and I overall don’t wanna leave this earth without leaving some kind of Legacy. The advice that I can give someone who is I. The beginning stages of their journey is to not give a damn about what anybody has to say literally, it is the most distracting and non-progressive thing you can do to yourself, be confident in the things that you put out be confident in yourself and your vision and Eventually the nonbelievers are going to be begging you to be a part of what you’ve built .

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I pray to God. I turned to my closest family members, my closest friends for support. Those are the two main things that get me through everything that I be facing. I wouldn’t be where I am without the guidance of the Almighty and I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of those who care about me the most, and not what I can do for them or what I can bring to the table but just my literal existence is what makes them happy.
