Meet RayCee the Artist

We were lucky to catch up with RayCee The Artist recently and have shared our conversation below.

RayCee, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience has come from going through tough times and difficult situations. I have learned a lot from past situations which have made me smarter and tougher.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a portrait and event photographer based in Los Angeles. In addition to being a photographer, I am also a digital artist. I love being able to show my creativity through my photography and my artwork.

I decided to start my photography business because I wanted to do something which I enjoyed and also be my own boss. I am a creative person, and photography has always been a passion of mine because of the creativity that can be achieved with photography.

I, without a doubt, believe in quality over quantity when it comes to my photography. I take and edit all of my own photos, and I put a lot of time and effort into both. I have an artistic eye when it comes to photography, and I believe that it shows in the photography which I create. My clients can rest assured that I will always put my full effort and dedication into creating photography which they will love.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Creativity, imagination, and a desire to learn new things are the qualities which are important to me. Photography and digital art are both things which require creativity and imagination. Also, I believe that people should always keep learning new things, which will fuel even more creativity in their work.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
I would say that marketing is one of the bigger challenges which I face in my business. It is difficult, but I have been fortunate to have success with my marketing thus far. I am always creating new photography and artwork, and trying to show my work to new people.
