We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rochell Malay a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Rochell, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
When I wake up in the morning, I’ll look in the mirror and I love what I see not only the outer my outer beauty, but my inner beauty because I’m such a dynamic light, to this world I’m literally a walking earth angel. My insides are so pure and lovable it has no choice, but to radiate on the outside, so my confidence comes from me being a genuine, good person, and it shines bright and me being good-looking adds to it, so it makes me feel good and I walk. in love and light. I give love and light to the world and people know and see that and that’s where my confident is
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Greetings I’m Rochell Malay. I am an entrepreneur , creative Director of my global brand Alex Malay, I am also a walking Earth Angel. Ever since a child, I was a lover of all things beautiful I love to dress up very girly, very feminine, I went to college I had nine to fives jobs I never really fit in anywhere so one day I just decided to take a risk and jump out on faith and to do what I love and focus on my passion, which is beauty, design, style and fashion and I love it here I’m thriving and creative. people love me the world loves me. I have their support and it’s been a blessing ever since.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Self improvement is key! Always invest in self improvement and never stop learning. Bettering yourself and staying consistent helps you to become an expert in your field. Do it for you because it makes you happy and your changing the world and lives for the better not because someone else is doing it or someone told you to do it because everyone journey is different. Always remain positive and strong. Protect your mental at all cost and be around people who want to see you win!
