Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Roosevelt with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic comes from my lovely mother. I seen my mother hustle day in and day out. My mother is in the resell business, she would buy products from wholesalers and walk the streets with a bag on her back and sell items to customers. I grew up seeing that at a very early age and I will never forget that. Every-time I feel like I’m not working hard enough I think about all the work my mother has put in from the 90’s to this present day, My mother is the epitome of get things done so I mold my work ethic through her..
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Roosevelt Merisier, I am Haitian & Bahamian Descent. I arrived in the United States at the age of 12 in 2002. My mother gifted me with the opportunity and privilege of starting a new life in a place where she knew I would excel.

FNO Event Culture focuses more on events such as Comedy Events in the Community, Film Festivals and more. I have been working on some incredible Documentary stories, I have quite a few projects in post production waiting for release dates. Documentary Film-making has truly been a purpose for me. I enjoy putting together amazing stories that touch the soul. In the near future my name will ring big bells. Patience is key. One day at a time is the motto! Active in the Community.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Consistency is one of the most important qualities for an entrepreneur. If you are consistent with what you do. You will never fail. There will be bumps in the road but the consistency will help you reach your goals no matter what you may be facing. Consistency is key to a great entrepreneurial career. Keep it going and never look back.
2. Networking is another key that helps you through. You never know who you might run into or be speaking too,, I encourage any business owner to travel, go out and meet people, it’ll be one of the best investment you will ever make. Networking is another major key to life.
3. Another key I would say is create with definition, whatever business or branding you are into, Make sure the people understand and feel the mission that you are on and represent. That is truly how a business thrives. Build an authentic brand that stands tall and the people will follow.
The advice I would give up and coming entrepreneurs that really want it is to just never quit, if you love something you will keep going no matter what and never quit. But if you are in and out and you don’t love it that much and you just want to make money, Entrepreneurship is not for you. Stick to a day job. Just honestly speaking.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
The biggest area of growth has been moving to Houston Texas and becoming a Father and Husband. I’m an advocate of just relocating and just meeting new people and building a brand in multiple places. It helps the brand grow quicker and faster. I’ve made a ton of new connections in Houston Texas and it has definitely been a huge growth and improvement process for me, my family and my brands these past 12 months.
