Meet Sarah George

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah George. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sarah , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Deep rooted in my Christian faith I’ve always looked for how I can serve God. He’s given me certain talents and I get the pleasure to cultivate them. We all have a purpose in His kingdom and part of our journey is to learn what it is and how to use it effectively. As a wife, mom, and marketing entrepreneur I dug into wondering what should I be doing with my time? I wanted to know how to be most effective and make decisions based on what I believe I should focus on. I questioned the thread throughout my life – what am I always doing, what am I good at, what do I enjoy?

After journaling, reflection, and sessions with a Human Design coach turns out I am an encourager, meant to lift others (and myself) in their passions and talents. As a marketing strategist I help business owners tell how they help their clients. Encouraging them to make bigger impact by effectively communicating how they transform people lives for the better.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I grew up in Northern Michigan and love it here! For more than a decade, I’ve showcased my marketing expertise in many areas and started a marketing consulting business in 2020. I work with expert service providers to communicate an effective marketing strategy and message that engages clients. My true passion is encouraging others to succeed in their goals to reach their full potential, whether that’s a person, program, or company. I’m involved in various boards and volunteer positions such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Rotary.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Being focused, consistent to determine what is most important for my life. This is for all aspects, business and personal.

2. Listening to mentors. Find someone who is where you want to be or has similar values as you. The support and reflection of others is huge to understand your purpose.

3. Accepting yourself and owning your purpose. We all have different roles, that’s what keeps life exciting! Your purpose will not match someone else’s. Discover what you are good at, what you enjoy, and be the best you you can be!

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Taking a risk to invest in myself and business. Nearly a year ago I invested a substantial amount to become a Certified StoryBrand Guide to help my clients have a clear, engaging brand message. It took months of weighing the pros and cons and I finally decided to go for it. Within months I made my investment back and have been growing ever since. Looking back it was really scary but everyone I counseled with said I wouldn’t regret it. I continue to grow and help my clients be better marketers.
