We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sasha Kushevarova a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sasha, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I believe that basically everything starts from being confident in yourself. During one of the courses I took in a past, I got asked a question: Who is the only one person that’s with you from the moment you were born till the end of your life?
The answer is simple. It is ME.
People often forget about this. When I ask my clients please name 3 people who you love the most, they usually say: mom, dad, husband, kids etc… Most of them forget about who should actually take the first place.
I use self-confidence as a foundation for all aspects of life. In my opinion everything is dependant on it. You can only have healthy relationships, career success, mental well-being, physical health and success in life if you are confident.
To build or improve self-confidence and self-esteem I use these rules:
1) Always put yourself and your feelings first. It is a very important rule which should be followed.
2) Accept yourself. You have to realize that nobody is perfect, absolutely nobody. It is OK to make mistakes and learn from them. It is OK making 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. It is OK to fail. Only when you fail you learn the taste of victory.
3) Set realistic goals and celebrate small wins. This way you’ll get a feeling of achievement and this will help you build confidence.
4) Challenge negative thoughts and always try to turn those into positive.
5) Surround yourself by supportive people.
6) This is a very important rule: compare yourself only to YOU. We all have different foundation when we start our life. Every person is unique and cannot be compared to each other. When you are trying to evaluate success or achievements use yourself a year or 5 years ago but don’t compare yourself with anyone else.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Since my childhood I was helping people. I felt like doing something good for people brings me back lots of good energy and helps to change the world. I never expect anything in return. I do it simply because I feel that need.
I was always working in different professions which were involved in helping people with their needs. But I felt like it was not enough. At some point in my life I ordered birth chart for myself and was absolutely shocked how accurate it was. Later on I started making changes in my life according to the recommendations in the chart and was surprised by the positive results. Using this chart I confirmed that my mission is to help people.
That is how my journey started.
I am a certified consultant and I’ve helped many women and men to change their lives. I was really scared to start my own business till I spoke with my friend Torry Herman and she helped me make a very first step. I started by providing clients with birth charts. Now I have expanded list of my services and added child personal analysis, compatibility chart and personal consultation option which has quickly become the most popular service.
When I see my clients improving their lives I feel that this is exactly what I was born for. Personal consultation is one of the services which helps to dig deeper and find answers to questions that were draining energy from my clients for years. Chart is not an instruction to how you should live your life, it is more like an analysis of your personality and of all aspects of your life. It has information about what your mission is, what your talents are, lots of recommendations how you can improve your financial situation, your relationships, what do you need to focus on to be in line with your mission.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
This is what I’d like to say: Money IS where Money IS. And there is NO Money where is NO Money.
This means if you are constantly pronouncing we don’t have money for this or for that, money will always come and go. As a result you don’t have money. If you will slightly change the wording, for example, I will have money next month or next year to buy this. Technically everything stays the same and you are not buying what you want at this exact moment but at least you are no longer saying that you don’t have money for it.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Ideal client for me would be the someone who is motivated to make changes in their lives. Who is willing to take responsibility and improve current circumstances. Who is willing to listen and learn.
I can help light up the answers the client was looking for and help with methods and techniques to use in order to make a positive change. But I am only there to help and client has to take all the actions and be responsible for results.
Ideal client is the one who is willing to live better live. Someone who is ready to invest time, effort and resources into their personal development journey. Someone who is ready to actively work towards creating a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
