We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Savannah Rose Johnson, BA, CLC, RTT.P. a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Savannah Rose, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
It’s been a process. I’ve struggled with self-worth, my inner critic, and learning what true confidence is. Once I learned the linguistic meaning of the word “confidence” is having full loyalty to yourself, it changed my relationship with confidence itself. I feel confidence is often misconstrued as arrogance or thinking you’re better than other people. This is false confidence. Learning what my values are, how to listen to my intuition, learning to value myself and what I bring to the table, has allowed me to honor who I am and walk in my truth. In doing this, I feel I have achieved confidence because it’s not merely something that you have or do not have; confidence is showing up for yourself and not apologizing for your authenticity.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I have my own business/private practice, Eclipse Evolution LLC, where I provide services as a Certified Life Coach (CLC), Ayurvedic Nutritionist, Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner (RTT.P.), and Ketamine Integration Specialist. I am also an author of two books, “Ghosts & Letters” and “Wealth & Worth: Financial Focus for Money, Power, and Finding Your Purpose” as well as the host of my podcast “Eclipse Evolution by Savannah Rose Johnson”. I thoroughly enjoy serving others through my one-on-one offerings as well as connecting with my global audience through social media and my creative productions.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three nuggets of wisdom I have are the following:
1) Learn how to listen to your body. Your nervous system, gut, intuition- whatever you want to call it- never lies to you. It may not make sense at the moment, but if you’re in a situation, relationship, or even career where something in your body feels off, pay attention to this valuable information.
2) Take time to rest, acknowledge your wins, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Working hard and being successful is wonderful but if it costs you your health, relationships, morality, and/or sanity, it’s not worth it! True success includes balancing what you do and why you do it. Work is a resource to live the life you want, not life itself. Maintaining outside interests, supportive relationships, and ample leisure time allow for sustainability and the ability to enjoy the holistic richness life offers.
3) Remember: it’s okay to not have it all figured out. Planning, goal setting, and logistics are helpful and can turn dreams into your reality. However, sometimes feeling like every single detail needs to be figured out can be limiting and keep you from participating in the present. Make plans but also be flexible and open minded. You never know what unexpected opportunities, insights, or people may come your way and shake things up. Life has a tendency to surprise us in the best way, so enjoy the ride!
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I always enjoy building my community and connecting with others. Everyone has something to teach us, whether it’s a skill or sharing wisdom they’ve gained on their journey. I would love to have more guests on my podcasts share their stories about overcoming challenges, learning about themselves, and developing their own unique meaning in life. If anyone is interested in discussing these themes or more, please DM me on Instagram @eclipseevolutionllc or email me at savannah@eclipseevolution.com.
