Hi Seda, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?
Everything in life has risks because nothing is guaranteed. If you want to achieve your goals you have to take risks. At first, I made progress by taking small risks, but when I realized that I could not progress this way, I wanted to take a big risk and see the results and its contribution to me. Now I see that the big risk you took was actually my breaking point and the steps to achieving the success I wanted. No one should be afraid of taking risks, risk always leads people to success.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Hello, I am a graduate in international relations, and I have completed a master’s degree in financial economics. Additionally, I have received training in business law and have been involved in corporate work in this field. Despite appearing distant from the bakery sector in terms of my education and work experience, I have always had a passion for healthy eating, regular exercise, and experimenting with new flavors in cooking, treating it as a hobby. I have never given up on this hobby. In fact, I have participated in numerous voluntary taste testing events.

As my interest in healthy living grew, I found myself compelled by the idea that “health begins with nutrition.” I decided to turn my hobby into a business and left my corporate side. I began working diligently to inform people about healthy eating and to show that there are healthy versions of everything we eat. I started with snack-style items, which people often derive happiness from. For example, homemade sugar-free vegan Nutella, flourless protein bites, sugar-free cookies, pie, etc. As demand increased, I diversified my products and even started making personalized items.

I prioritize sugar-free, low-carb, gluten-free, and vegan options because many people face health problems due to food allergies and struggle to find suitable options according to their dietary needs. Despite the availability of some products in stores, the additives introduced to extend shelf life often compromise the overall healthiness of the food. The distinctive feature of Seda’s Bakery is that everything is fresh, and no additives are used – it is entirely homemade.

The positive feedback and requests from people make me proud, confirming that I have chosen the right path and achieved the intended goals. Additionally, in 2023, we entered the top 25 in a nationwide dessert competition in the Charlotte region in the United States. We presented a famous dessert from our culture and received great feedback from both the judges and the tasting audience, which was a tremendous honor for us. Seda’s Bakery is continuing its efforts, and we expect further growth in the coming years.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My three most effective qualities are; self-confidence, being inquisitive, and being a good analyst. These three qualities are primarily related to your level of self-confidence because no matter what you do, never hesitate, and the risks you take will always lead you to success, regardless of the outcome. However, while doing this, it is essential to be an excellent researcher and analyze what you research thoroughly. Always stay open to learning; new information and the process of acquiring and researching this information will always propel you one step ahead. People who are open to learning always have self-confidence and analyze a task well when they undertake it. Therefore, being in a continuous state of research and learning is crucial. Remember, knowledge verifies knowledge.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
An ideal customer for us is someone who is aware of the ingredients in our products. When making a purchase, knowing the materials used in a product and tasting it with that awareness, allowing them to provide feedback, is the ideal customer status from our perspective. Those who prioritize healthy eating have always been our ideal customers.
