In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Developing confidence and self-esteem is a journey that involves overcoming challenges, gaining experience, and continuous self-improvement. For me, Shahrokh Zadeh, this journey has been deeply influenced by my diverse experiences, my family’s support, and my dedication to learning and teaching.
From a young age, my parents and teachers instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance. Their guidance provided a strong foundation, helping me believe in my abilities and encouraging me to pursue my dreams. This support was crucial as I navigated through various phases of my life, from my education in Tehran, Iran, to my professional career in the United States.
My academic journey, which includes a B.S. in Solid State Physics and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from UNLV, played a significant role in building my confidence. The rigorous academic environment challenged me to think critically and solve complex problems, reinforcing my belief in my intellectual capabilities.
Additionally, my diverse job experiences have been instrumental in developing my self-esteem. I have held various positions, each teaching me unique skills and providing valuable insights. These roles, ranging from a college instructor to a researcher, have honed my ability to adapt and excel in different environments.
Traveling to different countries and experiencing their cultures has also broadened my perspective and boosted my confidence. Understanding and appreciating diverse viewpoints has made me more adaptable and resilient, qualities essential for personal and professional growth.

What I Do
I combine my technological knowledge, teaching background, and research interests to explore and decode ancient mysteries. My work involves using geomathematics to analyze historical sites and phenomena, uncovering hidden patterns and correlations that have previously gone unnoticed. The most impactful thing my parents did for me was fostering an early and profound love for science and exploration. Born in July 1969, during the historic Apollo 11 moon landing, my nickname in the hospital was “Neil Armstrong,” a testament to the spirit of discovery that surrounded my birth. My mother, open-minded and sociable, instilled in me an emotional intelligence and empathy that everyone admired. Her passing in 2008 due to cancer was a profound loss, but her influence remains a guiding force in my life. My father, a disciplined diplomat under the Shah and Pahlavi regime, exposed our family to diverse cultures through his assignments in Indonesia and Hong Kong. His leadership in migrating our family from Iran to the USA showcased his dedication and vision, traits that have significantly shaped my own path.
Their combined influence not only inspired my academic and professional pursuits but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for knowledge and personal growth. My experiences, from developing a patented irrigation machine to my work in geomathematics, reflect the values they embodied. My father’s dedication and my mother’s emotional intelligence have been my cornerstone, guiding me through various roles, from teaching to research. Moreover, my travels and exposure to different cultures have broadened my perspective, while practices like meditation and energy healing have grounded me.
