Meet Shante Epps-Copeland

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shante Epps-Copeland. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Shante , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I had many challenges in my life, some medically, financially and then physically. These challenges made me determinded to make what I did have in my hand work. I didnt know I was “poor” until i left the comfort of my loving home and out of my community. Once I realized that I was smart and gifted in the area of helping people, I went all out into making that part of me excell.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
As a life and fianancial coachand a mentor, As a finacial coach, I help people navigate the waters on how to get through lifes trials, tribulations and any ans all stumblinghg blocks that many face in life. How to make the money they earn stretch, how to invest their money and build a legacy for their future generations. I also terach tyhem how to use credit properly to also help them live their dreams. Many people are held back financially due to poor credit mangement or if their credit score is too low to finance the life they dream of living. As a life coach I help people figure out their why, The why that keeps them stuck and unable t move forward in life. I help them develop a plan with the steps they need to achieve goals of being happy and healthy humans, living their best lives. As a mentor,I help them lay out a plan as I guide them thrtough all the steps necessary either have a great relationship, start a business or become the best manager thatt they can be in the company that they work for, making for happier humans.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My three qualities that I posess 1. I lead with my heart. I always want to see the best in everyone and in seeing the besty in them, I want to help them live their best by bringing out the best parts in them. Teaching them how to use all of their talents and qualities to acheive greatness for them and their families,
2. I never give up. After all of the things that I have been through in my life and the things that I have seen, I know the vaslue of living. I know they value of time and that it doesnt wait for any one and nothing. So I have always went for whatever it is I wanted. I never felt like I couldnt do anything, it may have taken me a littel time to do it but I never said I couldn;t do it. I use thast same drive to motivate my clients and mentees.
3. I know that all things are possible with God, he has never left me nor forsaked me. He has kept me through some really tough times and I will never not tell others of his goodness.

My advice to people who are early in their journey, is to never stop believing in your self, your vision and keep going no matter what obstacles comes their way because not trying or going for it, you have already failed. KEEP GOING.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel my most overwhelmed, I take a day off. I spend the day going back through my notes, journals and study notes on issues that I helped clients through. In those pages, I review my processes and remember my why. It is a great motivation for me to recenter myselfto get past anything I am struggling with at the moment. I also like to have a session and a heart to heart with my biggest cheerleader, and fan, my hubby. I have known him since I was 8 yrs olf and been his wife for 35 years this past December and if I ever have a doubt, hesitation or issue, he will give me the honest feedback that I need to get throufgh any situation.

Strategies that work are :

Pause, because time is the best regulator
Reveiw, all of the things that you have to complete
Plan, what way will work and be the most efficient
Move, do the work that you have prepared for, in terms of educating yourself and experiences that you’ve had that have actually worked.
