Hi Sharema, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from a mother that was a hardworker. She taught me the values of always being my biggest cheerleader and making myself an asset in any situation.

Currently, I am a state employee working with the Office of Rural Health as a Grant Administrator. I am finishing up my Doctorate degree in Health Administration. I plan to stay with the state government and one day retire.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My three qualities that really stand out to me are adaptability, trustworthy, and dependable. My advice would be to find your purpose and magnify it.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade? I would spend time with my love ones and travel some of the exotic places that are on my bucket list
