Meet Sharon Riche

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sharon Riche. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sharon below.

Hi Sharon, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I learned to be resilient from my late parents. When my father was 3 years old he survived the Holocaust by hiding from the Nazis in cupboards and haylofts on a Polish farm. My mom grew up in the Brooklyn projects and graduated as Valedictorian of her class. Both my parents fought cancer for many years and faced their deaths with grace. Despite their struggles they lived joyous lives with gratitude, positivity and always lead with love. Their strength and devotion to our family in light of any adversity taught me resilience’ and to always appreciate good health and to value life, and family.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am the published author of a trilogy of books. Just One More Day, Tear Stained Pages and Through the Eye of Love. Each book holds a special place in my heart. My readers have told me they find my stories uplifting, inspiring, humorous and meaningful. I have ventured into public speaking which I love the most. My next project is a children’s book which I plan on writing with my daughter who is a teacher. I also am a retail banking client advocate for a major bank.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
There are many but if I have to narrow it down to three they would be the following. Passion is so important and to believe in your vision.
Committment and time management certainly play an integral role in achieving your goals.
Researching is imperative to gain knowledge, perspective and ideas.
My advice is to be focused and give yourself a timeline in smaller babysteps. This way your goals will be less overwhelming.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My inspiration is my amazing fiance who is the hardest working human I have ever met. His perseverance, integrity, strong work ethic and dedication inspires me everyday. His encouragement and unwaivering support has given me the confidence to succeed enabling me to go after my dreams. My three adult children have also been instrumental in my success. I have received their gifts of wisdom, advice and insight. I learn from their persistence, drive and passion. They have thriving careers, are compassionate, loving, kind and highly intelligent. They are my cheerleaders, my teachers and my heart.
