Meet Shelley Fehrenbacher

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shelley Fehrenbacher. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Shelley, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
If you’ve personaly found your purpose in life, then you know that there isnt any obstacle that can stop you from pursuing it. It’s a heartfelt passion that allows circumstances to fall into place for your purpose to come to fruition.

My purpose was discovered after my Trigeminal Neuralgia & Graves’ disease diagnoses were completely reversed. Each day I’m grateful to have learned that Nature holds the properties & keys to our wellbeing. I now have the blessing to share with the world that any diagnosis you may have been given, is just an educated guess.

We’ve created our Nature-based wellness center on a 14 acre property near Tampa, Fl. Guests travel from around the world visit to experience our aroma therapy gardens, green houses, dwarf therapy goats & our healing water. Giving people the gift of joy & wellbeing is a purpose I’m grateful for.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
The Tampa Greenhouses & Boutique Farm are located on 14 acres just outside of Tampa in Valrico, Fl. Our sanctuary is surrounded by communities, tucked between an ancient Florida aquifer & aroma therapy gardens, we’ve created a wellness center. Our dwarf therapy goats spend time with guests offering emotional support to people suffering from mental health issues to cancer patients. I share with guests the health benefits of spending time in Nature, how water is an essential element overlooked by many in the health care industry and how our environment plays a vital role in our health.

We’re not a conventional farm, if you can imagine, our dwarf goats live in chic tiny cottages & our chicken coops have swings & flower boxes. We recently expanded and opened our reimagined 8,000 sq ft Greenhouses where we host wellness classes, yoga, speaking events and have an innovative lab cultivating organic vanilla orchids.

There was a time I believed the doctors when they told me there wasn’t a cure for Trigeminal Neuralgia or Graves’ disease. I would have to manage the pain with daily medications and not lead an active or fulfilled life. Nature gave me my health back & a passion to share my story, giving others hope that they too can overcome any diagnosis. Our bodies were designed to heal themselves & I’m thankful to be the messenger to those who need it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe the downfall of finding your passion is confusing it with a business plan. Passion projects don’t necessarily come with mission statements and excel spread sheets. It comes from within and grows organically. Passion & purpose is a feeling. It’s the little tug that has your imagination and thoughts flowing quickly and clearly. If you wake up at 3am and it’s on your mind then grab a pen and write down your ideas.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
In an effort to expand nature based wellness centers, we offer consulting. Whether it’s for an established wellness business, a resort or new hobby farm, we help clients reimagine what a traditional farm looks like and create experiences at resorts.

Our dwarf therapy goats are currently at farms and wellness centers across the country. We welcome the opportunity to work with other companies to curate experiences for their guests that are not only engaging but also impactful.
