Meet Sheree Gregory

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sheree Gregory. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sheree , first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
When did I do that? Haha. It is still something I struggle with and probably always will. Being self – employed requires you to push yourself into new areas almost daily.

As I work through Imposter Syndrome I’ll sometimes put myself in JR Gregory mode ( that’s my Dad) Watching him talk about business and seeing the pride that he had in the work he did still inspires me today. I fake it until I make it essential and remind myself along the way that I have the right to share my passion with the world.

Another trick is to listen to a webinar, read a book, or listen to a podcast related to my industry. Knowledge is power.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I help people find more space, more time and more peace in their lives, homes and small businesses. As a professional organizer and productivity specialist I work one on one with clients or independently to create systems and processes that make life feel less cluttered and seamless. I really believe that getting and staying organized can change your life. As we work together we do much more than move things around and decluttered. There is something energetic at work something below the surface that shifts for clients as well

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Empathy, passion and relationship building have been the most beneficial qualities that have helped me along the way.

Empathy allows me to meet my clients where they are and accompany them along their journey which can be so beneficial in working in areas that bring about a lot of shame and guilt.

Passion for organizing has been crucial in avoiding burnout. I still love what I do and wake up excited to help others.

This work can be very physical and demanding and at the end of the day I am usually physically exhausted, but buzzing and excited mentally and that is because I get to connect with my clients on a deeper level. It took me a long time to understand that being an introvert doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy connecting with others, I just like to connect in a different way. My work allows me to connect with clients, fellow colleagues, and other business owners and it has been one of my most cherished aspects of the job.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. I joke that it has been my bible for the past fifteen years. It’s not about business or marketing it’s a book of daily meditations on living an authentic and simple life and it has served me in almost every aspect of life and business. Although I have been reading it for years I still learn something new everyday and am gently remainder of what is important to me.
