Meet Sindy Warren

We recently connected with Sindy Warren and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sindy, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I feel like my purpose found me, and this happened through my being open, curious, and committed to personal growth. I began my career as a Stanford Law School lawyer in the mid-90s. After working in employment law for about a decade, I followed my heart (and a dear friend’s advice) and started my own consulting business. My interests and curiosity brought me to yoga, where I became passionate about the practice and eventually became a teacher. It was really through teaching yoga that I found coaching. As a yoga teacher, I was eminently curiuous about what leads one to live an intentional life. This inquiry led me to life coaching – which is a discipline combining positive psychology and philosophy principles to bear on exactly that question. I became certified as a coach and founded Blue Tree Coaching in fairly short order, and never looked back!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a life and business coach and I help men and women in midlife and beyond carve out what’s next in life and work in a way that feels meaningful and aligned with their values. I also help people start and grow coaching and consulting businesses – something I have a lot of experience with!

I’m the host of the Accelerate Your Vision podcast, the founder of Blue Tree Coaching, and the creator of Side Gig School. If you want to learn more about what I do and how to work with me, check out my website at www.bluetreecoaching.net!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Curiosity — I’m not one to get complacent and I’m always looking to expand my horizons and challenge myself intellectually.

Entrepreneurship — I’ve learned a lot through trial and error, and having now built two multiple six figure businesses, I love teaching others how to create this kind of professional freedom for themselves.

Authenticity — I’ve learned how to follow my own instincts and desires, and this has helped me create a unique professional path for myself.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The Great Work of Your Life by Stephen Cope was tremendously influential on my personal and professional growth. It invited me to really explore my calling and purpose.
