We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Staci Gray. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Staci below.
Staci, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I was working for my dad’s company, The Real Estate Guys, when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. He was drowning in work and had very little time to get away. He asked me for help organizing things so he could feel confident to step away to spend time away. Since I also wanted time with my mom, I took this as a priority and implemented systems, SOPS, and organization. This allowed his team to share responsibility, learn new skills and take ownership so we were both free to get quality time with my mother before her passing.
After this life-changing experience, I became inspired to help more entrepreneurs and Visionaries set up systems within their companies so they could find harmony, and own a business that gives them FREEDOM instead of drowning in the day-to-day operations.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We are going through a transformational moment in our company right now.
We are working on restructuring our business model to help more people on a wider scale.
In the next year, I will be launching at least one online course, a podcast, and more!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. 3 Systems that Scale: Psychological, Structural, and Social
2. The Visionary/Integrator Relationship – This is important so the integrator can understand their vision so you can help bring it to life, build trust with one another, and accelerate their decision-making by making a plan to stream-line their process
3. “If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t exist” – Implementing time blocking and time management to reach your goals!
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
In the book Atomic Habits, James Clear argues that the most successful people are those who are able to delay immediate gratification in order to achieve long-term goals.
Unlike good habits, bad habits often provide instant gratification while the consequences are often delayed.
The most successful visionaries do not allow themselves to be enticed by the allure of instant gratification.
Instead, they prioritize developing strong habits by structuring their daily actions with purpose.
