Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stacye Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Stacye, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Growing up as the child of immigrant parents from Jamaica has given me a unique perspective on life. My parents faced numerous challenges and overcame adversity to achieve the American dream, despite lacking access to the resources and knowledge that we take for granted today. They instilled in me the importance of creating a lasting legacy and making a positive impact on our family/others.
Their experiences have served as a clarifying lens for me, revealing what I do not want in life and providing a clear vision of what I desire. The resilience needed to pursue my dreams has become second nature, as my focus has always been on the desired outcome. This mindset was nurtured by the environment my parents cultivated for me.
As I have grown and invested in great mentorship and self-development, my resilience has only strengthened. With the continued guidance of the right mentors, I have transformed my resilience into a powerful tool for personal and professional growth, not only for myself but also for those around me, that is what is in my DNA!
You see, I have learned that pursuing one’s dreams presents two options: either we do what is necessary to achieve them or we fall short and miss out on their beauty. When we possess an unwavering desire for something and become hyper-focused, distractions fade away. In times of adversity, I draw inspiration from my parents. If they could create a fulfilling life for themselves and their family, then armed with the opportunities, knowledge, and skills I have, there is nothing that can stand in my way.
Resilience is not just a part of who I am; it defines who I am not. It showcases my professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment to building trust with those I work with.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am known to many as the Branding Genius. I run a creative branding/design agency of inspiration and culture. We collaborate with premium brands, influenciers and forward-thinkers, using intentional design and strategy to match our clients with innovative products, people, and communities. With our expertise many of our premium brands are able to help small businesses grow tremendously through the exchange of equity. It’s the results of successful visual branding that our clients and their customers are able to bridge the gap between visual communication and creative thinking. It’s just that simple.
For me it’s always about creating the right visual for the right need. Through my business, faith and talent, I have successfully collaborated with many aspiring new brands/entrepreneurs with their brand identity and development. And with growth my business, Simply Creative Designing Inc., is well known for its celebrity collaborations with brands such as the NFL & NBA, Fossil, Budweiser, and influencers like Yandy Harris Smith, Cyn Santana, Future Hendricks the rapper, Milano Di Rouge, and many more. My greatest accomplishments are achieved when helping businesses discover the best branding visuals and solutions that catapult them to their next level of success. It’s exciting to not just exist in my dreams, but I am living a life I have designed with purpose while serving so many others.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey there have been three things that have been most impactful for my development: Trusting the process, seeking mentorship and learning that life does not require balance… It requires a mindset that can think creatively and effectively to incorporate each area into the puzzle and allow them to all play just as important of a part as the other. We live a life we design.
To anyone that is early in their journey of business and life as a whole, just remember that mindset is the driving force for success and achievement. A powerful mind can achieve anything.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents have ever done for me was allowing me to create my own dreams. They have supported, encouraged, and contributed in any way to help me become a talented artist. It was the very dream I had as a kid, and it is still the only dream I’ve ever desired. Now I am a successful artist. I own a successful business that also allows others to see their dreams freely and live them through their business. It’s a gift that keeps on giving.
