Meet Star Miles aka Ms Piink

We recently connected with Star Miles Aka Ms Piink and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Star Miles , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my mother and grandmother. I was born in a small town in Mississippi and being strong and withstanding certain things were normal back then. So watching my mother and grandmother overcome the things they overcame is what made me so resilient. I will always come back better and stronger regardless of what is thrown my way!!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
So let me just start off by saying this has been a long journey lol! I created my brand years ago when I created the brand I knew there would be a lot of negativity because nowadays no one asks questions they just see something and automatically think it’s something negative. Well when I created my brand I named it The Pink P***y Brand because I am so determined to help women with vaginal health issues. I was once featured on Fox 26 with Isaiah Carey and we did a segment on vaginal health and the importance of vaginal, I loved that my brand was featured because I actually got to explain why my brand was called The Pink P***y Brand. I always refer to myself as The P***y Guru/Whisperer lol. I am currently in the rebranding phase I will be creating my own Vulva Art Collection as well as launching my own beauty product line within the next few months. I am currently looking for ambassadors and like minded people to collaborate with. Oh yeah and did I say I was a music artist and actress as well lol, I do it all!! If you would like to collaborate email me [email protected]

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Number 1 never second guess your ideas those ideas are in your head for a reason, now it is up to you to bring them to life. Number 2 it doesn’t have to be perfect to start it, just start and perfect it along the way. If you keep telling yourself it’s not ready yet it’s not ready yet you’ll never start.
Number 3 no one is going to see your goals and dreams like you see them so never let anyone discourage you from creating.

My advice start and never stop, keep going, this journey is never easy but the goal is to learn from your mistakes and keep going!

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
So the book that has helped me the most is Finding Me by Viola Davis. About a year ago I decided to pack up and move to Atlanta to pursue acting. I didn’t know what to expect because there is a stigma about darker skin women in the acting industry so I started reading Viola’s book the first time I read it I cried almost the entire book, but it also made me stronger, and it gave me the guts to keep pursuing my acting career. Viola’s book has helped me so much I really hope to meet her one day!!
