We caught up with the brilliant and insightful T. Alexander Evans a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
T. Alexander , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Defiant resilience is what I like to call it. I face a lot of disadvantages, hardship and adversity. However I’m a visionary and I look into the future to see where I want to be placed at despite of the odds and I move accordingly with my actions and determination. I eat NO’s for breakfast daily and just roll up my sleeves and get to work.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As Founder and CEO of Alex Artistry of Entertainment, I’m a well-rounded artist who accomplish my craft in arts, cooking and singing for over 25 years, I became an entrepreneur for Alex Artistry of Entertainment since 2023. Alex Artistry of Entertainment – includes a three component remote services of Live Painting Session, Music Performance & Virtual Cooking for clients in San Diego as well as internationally to have a unique intimate experience with family and friends with art entertainment. I want to inspire many with my gifts and talents to impact the world through art.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My three most important qualities and skills through my journey have been.
Over the years I’ve manifest a lot of things in my life by creating a vision board and following through with everything that I want to do.
My management/leadership skills is my strong attribute from working over 25 years in various positions. I take pride in working hard along with managing projects with a satisfying outcome.
Having a business minded drive is the main reason I started my own business. Creating a list of goals, visions, ideas, connections and studying to help build the economy with my small business for my community to grow.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
There’s been a village of people supporting me with local programs in my community for new small business owners like myself. My Wife has been a tremendous support system for me, utilizing her gifts as a graphic designer and photographer to help me with my branding and marketing is a rare combination I cherish.
